the obverse depicting a rightward facing bust of Carl Eduard
while reverse is clearly marked with RZM insignia and the maker code M4/46
Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wound Badge, Silver Grade Hold or were rusted or damaged(Verwundetenabzeichen). An ovular badge constructed of silvered tombac, the obverse bearing a central Stahlhelm overlaid with a mobile swastika, superimposed over two upwards facing crossed swords on a pebbled background, encompassed by a laurel leaf wreath tied with a ribbon in a bow at the bottom, the reverse is plain, bearing a vertical pinback with a flat wire catch, measuring 36. 42 mm (w) x 44. 16 mm (h), weighing 33. 1 grams, very fine.
