The bag is based on depictions from the Manesse Codex

Handgesmeed bijlblad, type A, semi-scherp Viking tunieken The retiarius was the gladiatorThis axe head is classified as Petersen Type X. This type of axe was possibly developed by the Slavic tribes of the Baltic region and was used throughout Northern and Eastern Europe. The axe head is entirely hand forged. The edge is blunt, making it suitable for reenactment purposes. The blade is 18. 5 cm long, with a cutting edge of 6 cm and an eye measuring 25 35 mm. It weighs 550 grams.
