Hangeroc Edda, blauw Vikingriemen This sleeveless dress is madeThe hangeroc is a type of dress that was worn by Vikings and other early medieval people over a slip dress. The hangeroc was originally worn with turtle brooches, to fasten the front to the shoulders. The shoulder part was often much longer and shield brooches were used to lift up the front fabric just above the breasts. Most modern hangeroc reproduction already are the correct length, so turtle brooches are often not needed for practical purposes.
