These rise to natural waist with a smooth 2" wide waistband and gusseted crotch. Made in Italy 95% Nylon 5% Elastane first notes on fit: The size chart seems conservative being 5'6" with 42" hips, I grabbed the size 12 14 to try. They are comfy, but also roomy on me and I think I could probably size down. (update: size 4 10 also fits me just fine, so
