The upper side of the pauldrons is designed to overlap the breastplate and thereby provide extra protection to the armpits. You can fasten the pauldrons with leather straps around the upper arm and shoulder. With laces you can attach them to a breastplate. This armor is perfect for late medieval costumes and LARP battles.
