Angelsaksische fibula Isle of Wight, brons Zwaarden & wapens A hair or beard beadThis fibula is a replica of a 6th century original excavated in grave 22, Chessell Down (Isle of Wight, England). This Anglo Saxon fibula is decorated with typical motives of the Great Migration. Similar fibulae were worn by Germanic people, like the Franks, Merovingians and Lombards, from North West Europe to North Italy. This fibula is made of bronze and measures 9 x 4 cm.
