Vintage Marion Barry "Mayor Barry '94" T-Shirt T Star Wars: Episode 1 -Marion Barry was Washington DC's Mayor from 1979 to 1991. He was a prominent civil rights leader in the 1960s, one of the first activists to make it in a major political position. Despite Barry's popularity, he became an infamous figure when he was caught smoking crack cocaine in 1990.
